Talks on Arms Sales to Taiwan Ongoing: US Ambassador to China

The US is continuing talks concerning arms sales to Taiwan, according to the American ambassador to China, David Perdue, in an interview with Fox News. Perdue also said President Donald Trump offered to sell weapons to China at his meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping last week. White House sources later said that the US has no plans to sell weapons to China and the State Department added that US laws prohibit the sale of weapons to Beijing.
