The United States has taken its first concrete step toward implementing a tariff agreement with Taiwan signed earlier this year, according to US trade lawyer James Ransdell. The move creates a “safe harbor” for some Taiwanese exports, including wood products, auto parts and aircraft components, under US trade measures tied to Section 232 investigations.
