Lai Pledges Stronger Sea-Air Defense and Cable Protection
Taiwan President Lai Ching-te has pledged to strengthen the country’s maritime security and defense coordination in response to growing pressure from China. He said the government is integrating efforts across ministries to better protect critical infrastructure, including undersea cables, and ensure national operations remain uninterrupted.
