Government, Activists Tackle Women’s Unpaid Work Crisis

Women’s groups and the Taiwan government joined forces on International Women’s Day to address the issue of unpaid labor. In Taiwan, 80% of family caregivers are women, and many leave the workforce after age 45 to take on care responsibilities. Authorities say they plan to boost funding for elderly care, childcare, and family leave to help reduce the burden.
