Taiwan’s First Successful Bone Freezing Operation

Surgeons at Taipei's Tzu Chi Hospital have successfully performed the country's first bone freezing operation. The patient was diagnosed with craniofacial fibrous dysplasia, a bone disease in the skull that replaces normal bone with fibrous tissue. Surgeons removed the fibrous tissue in her jawbone and applied cryotherapy to treat swelling.
