Taiwan's health ministry says it's changed the way it calculates the country's total health insurance budget, which could result in a cut of almost US$500 million in 2024. Healthcare professionals have criticized the plan, saying it could keep patients from getting the care they need. Note: A previous version of this description said the health ministry changes “will” result in a budget cut. This was incorrect. The exact budget for 2024 has not been finalised.
