Elementary School Enrollment in Yunlin County Falls to Record Low
Elementary school enrollment in Yunlin County has fallen to a record low as Taiwan continues to face one of the world’s lowest fertility rates. Just 3,600 first-grade students registered for the upcoming school year, down around 600 from last year. Neighboring Chiayi County also reported low enrollment numbers, with about 2,300 first-grade students signed up.
