New Ownership of Over 600 Exotic Pet Species Banned in Taiwan

Taiwan has officially banned the new ownership of over 600 exotic species. Starting May 1, animals deemed "high-risk" can no longer be acquired as pets. While current owners are not required to give up their companions, they must register them with local authorities within one year and undergo inspections. TaiwanPlus meets a long-term raccoon owner and the keeper of a saltwater crocodile to see how the new regulations will affect them.
