The assassination of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has sent a shockwave to the world and Japanese politics. What will the Japan-Taiwan relationship look like after Abe’s passing? Will this effect Asian politics and the economy? With a leadership vacuum within the LDP, how will the Kishida administration balance ties with the U.S. and China? Will they lean towards China in revitalizing Japan’s economy?
