Lifelike Sculptures Made With Real Leather - CRAFTSOUL Ep10
Taiwanese artist Duan An-guo is a self-taught master in the craft of leather sculpting. Fascinated by the vividness of leather sculptures, Duan bought his first piece of cowhide and started exploring with the material in his free time. By using wooden mold and oil clay, Duan craves out rough models of his works, then applies softened leather on the surface. In pursuit of verisimilitude, Duan studies the anatomy of the human body and creates lifelike sculptures of Taiwanese people from all walks of life.
