Traveling Through Brush and Ink: The Art of Emperor Song Huizong
Though infamous for likely bringing about the end of the Northern Song dynasty, Emperor Huizong, also known as Zhao Ji, was a well-known calligrapher, artist, poet, and collector. He established the Imperial Painting Academy and invented the "slender gold" style of calligraphy. His efforts led to a golden period in Chinese art history.
