US has carried out retaliatory strikes against Iran, after a Taiwanese commercial ship was hit in the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday.
The US blamed Iran for violating the ceasefire agreement both sides signed last week, although Iran has pointed the finger at the US. The ship, The Ever Lovely, was struck by an unknown projectile while transiting the strait. It is owned by Taiwanese firm Evergreen Marine and sails under the Singapore flag. The company has confirmed the ship, its crew, and cargo, are all safe and that it has departed the area.
