Two million barrels of oil are on a tanker chartered by Taiwan’s state-run CPC Corporation. The ship was stuck in the Strait for three months after the war between the US and Iran broke out. Now moving, it’s expected to arrive in Taiwan in mid-July.

The tanker, chartered by state-run CPC Corporation, was carrying two million barrels when it became stranded in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping chokepoint. After more than three months, it is finally able to leave Iranian waters and is expected to arrive in Taiwan in mid-July. Despite the recent ceasefire, the deal between the US, Iran and Israel remains fragile amid lingering tensions.
