Women on the Campaign Trail

Women account for 43% of the seats in Taiwan's legislature, the highest ratio of female to male lawmakers in Asia. Upcoming local elections are set to continue this trend – but the top levels of government are still dominated by men, despite the country's first female president. Divya Gopalan followed two candidates on the campaign trail to find out why women politicians face more hurdles than their male counterparts.
