US Senator Roger Wicker Urges Continued Support for Taiwan

US Senator Roger Wicker has called for continued US security commitments to Taiwan after meeting with Taiwan’s representative to the United States. His comments came less than a week after President Donald Trump met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Washington. Wicker said Congress has a responsibility to ensure the US upholds its legal commitments and that continued support for Taiwan is in the US national interest.
