A long-awaited US-Taiwan trade deal could lower Taiwan’s tariff rate from 20% to 15% and greatly expand TSMC’s investment in Arizona, potentially reshaping global semiconductor supply chains, according to reporting in multiple international outlets. Neither Taiwan's government, the US government nor TSMC have confirmed the reports.
