Trump Signs Bill That Could Expand US Engagement With Taiwan

US President Donald Trump has signed a bill that could expand US engagement with Taiwan. The Taiwan Assurance Implementation Act requires the US State Department to review US guidelines for how it engages with Taiwan at least every five years. Taiwan has welcomed the law, saying it will deepen Taipei's unofficial ties with Washington.
