Taiwan Signs New Economic Deal With Texas To Boost Investment

Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung signed a new economic cooperation agreement with the U.S. state of Texas to strengthen investment ties. Taiwan has already invested over US$10 billion in the state, according to the State of Texas Taiwan Office. During his visit, Lin proposed constructing a “Taiwan Tower” in Houston to house the local Taiwan trade office, though no formal plans are in place yet.
