Taiwan is closely monitoring two Chinese coast guard ships near Green Island, off the country’s southeast coast.

The vessels are carrying out what China calls a "law enforcement patrol." Taiwan's coast guard calls the mission an example of China faking law enforcement jurisdiction to expand its territorial claims.
