Chinese Intrusion Near Kinmen

Taiwan’s coast guard has warned off four Chinese coast guard ships intruding in restricted waters near the Kinmen Islands.

and affecting order and safety within our waters.
Change course and leave our waters immediately.

Wednesday morning’s intrusion came as the coast guard was preparing for Typhoon Bavi, expected to reach Taiwan around Saturday. Four Taiwan coast guard ships monitored the ships and broadcast warning messages until the Chinese ships left about three hours later.
