Gov't Says Kuomintang Chair's 'Peace Framework' Means Unification
Taiwan's government has sharply criticized a "peace framework" proposed by Kuomintang leader Cheng Li-wun during her meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The Mainland Affairs Council says the proposal effectively aligns with Beijing's "one country, two systems" blueprint for cross-strait unification.
