The benchmark index, Taiex closed up 2.36 percent, led by gains in both tech and financial stocks.
Stock markets in South Korea and Japan also rebounded.
Analysts say that as the frenzy around Thursday’s SpaceX IPO settles, capital could flow back into broader markets.
