Taipower Boosts Summer Electricity Rates
Taiwan’s state power company has adjusted electricity rates for the summer starting Monday, with higher residential bills expected through September. While the average household is likely to pay 70% more during the peak summer months due to air conditioning usage, Taipower officials say most households will see a limited increase since the seasonal rates target heavy energy users.
