The National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts—commonly known as Weiwuying—opened in 2018, energizing the cultural environment of Taiwan’s southern city of Kaohsiung. Chien Wen-pin has been the center's director since the beginning, and he has just begun his second four-year term.
