Destination Paris Episode 4 – Eye on the Prize
The countdown to the Paris Olympics has begun, and Taiwanese athletes are set to show what they’re made of on the world stage once again. This episode of TaiwanPlus - Destination Paris focuses on several of Team Taiwan's medal favorites. In archery, Taiwan is fielding a strong team of six archers. Likewise, six paddlers will represent Taiwan in table tennis, including veteran Chuang Chih-yuan making his sixth Olympic appearance. In Judo, the current world number one in the 60-kg category Yang Yung-wei is aiming for gold. And on his return from cancer treatment, Chou Tien-chen is leading the men's badminton hopes. These plus boxing, canoeing, shooting and weightlifting are all featured. As anticipation grows ahead of Paris, Taiwan's athletes are capping years of preparation in the hunt for Olympic glory.
