Taiwan’s young indigenous people are taking to social media to share and protect their mother tongues. Taiwan is home to nearly 600,000 indigenous people, but many of their languages are under threat. Rik Glauert spoke to young illustrator Umav Ispalakan, who is from the Bunun indigenous group. He began by asking her why she wanted to document her language learning on Facebook and Instagram.
