May 2021, Taiwan elevated its pandemic alert level to Level 3. To keep the pandemic under control, humans have been mostly staying indoors. Hiking in the woods and going to the beach were strictly off-limits. This greatly benefitted the natural world, which took the opportunity to recover. Wild animals came back to the land that was taken by humans. This pandemic was a lesson learned on the tug of war between humans and mother nature.
