Lithuania Forges Stronger US Ties
Lithuania’s foreign minister is on his way to the U.S. in the wake of China’s downgrading of diplomatic ties with the Baltic country. Beijing’s move was a consequence of Lithuania allowing the opening of a “Taiwanese” representative office, the first in Europe to use the word "Taiwanese" rather than “Taipei.” To discuss the trip, Yin Khvat spoke to Marcin Jerzewski, a research fellow at the think-tank Taiwan NextGen Foundation.
