Bertie and Peggy head to southern Taiwan to try out farming and learn some Mandarin phrases along the way. **Vocabulary list below!** After weeks in the city, this teacher-student duo is headed down south to relax in the warm weather… or so they thought! Mandarin student Bertie soon discovers that farming is hard work. Thank goodness Bertie’s Mandarin teacher Peggy is there to teach him the phrases he needs to be an effective farmhand. On their trip to Houbi, Tainan, a local farmer shows Bertie how to help weed her fields. Follow along with Bertie to learn how to ask for guidance, as well as Mandarin terms for specific aspects of farming.
