These students from Spain––Javier from National Taiwan University & Academia Sinica, Natalya from Tunghai University, and Paula from National Taiwan Normal University–– have found out that Taiwan is full of surprises. Together, they share lively, heartfelt conversations about home, while also sharing a taste of Spain through Rioja wine, Cava sparkling wine, ColaCao chocolate powder, and olives. They tell us more about their first 7-Eleven convenience store run, all you can eat hotpot, bubble tea and even their first cavity, all before celebrating Lunar New Year with a Taiwanese family. Everyone fell in love with playing Mahjong for the first time, and what followed were a series of hilarious and heartwarming moments that capture a playful clash of Spanish and Taiwanese culture.
