These Koreans totally get the Taiwanese aesthetic. In everything from the climate, building, and streetscapes to movies and pop culture. Join DongHyeop, Jongsung, and Ian from National Chengchi University, along with Vai from National Taiwan University of Arts, as they encounter qilou (covered walkways) and are amazed to learn how this unique architectural feature provides shade and shelter for pedestrians while adding distinctive charm to the city. The culture shock doesn’t stop there: in class, a Taiwanese professor even uses Korean dramas as teaching material, playing classic weekend series and asking students to reenact iconic scenes on the spot.
