Cindy and Ryan are diving at active volcanoes on Turtle Island. The journey begins with a scenic boat ride to the famous Milk Sea, a stunning milky white ocean created by underwater hot springs along Taiwan’s Northeastern Coast. These shallow hydrothermal vents are one of the few places to see Taiwan’s Strange Box Crabs, a hydrothermal species which thrives in the sulfur-rich waters around volcanic vents. Next, they will explore the Devil’s Washboard, a fascinating rock formation, shaped by volcanic activity over millions of years where they dive into fields of vibrant cauliflower-shaped coral colonies that paint an enchanting underwater landscape, teeming with life. Take a look at the rare beauty of Turtle Island as we explore geological and marine wonders from above and below. Let’s go diving!
