As the fourth-generation owner of Kuang Tien General Hospital in Taichung, Chrissy Wang reimagines long-term care and health care. Unlike her predecessors, who were all physicians, Chrissy studied healthcare management, which enabled her to see the workings of a medical group in a holistic way, and to synergize experts from various fields. While her career seems to be all smooth sailing, an accident changed the way she approaches life. A horrendous fall during a triathlon had left Chrissy with a fractured skull and a long haul to recovery. With great positivity, Chrissy sees this accident as a gift from above, one which propels her to go through the pain of ordinary patients and bestows empathy upon her. “In Her Shoes” introduces leading women in Taiwanese society, spanning fields from fashion and art to business and sports. Explore the lives of these extraordinary women, what drives them, and how they have overcome personal challenges to excel in their careers and reach the top of their professions.
