Watch as Shaoxing the Monk and the Maitreya Bodhisattva save the world from demons in this educational, short film about the Tibetan Dragon Sutras, an iconic work in the National Palace Museum's permanent collection. This collection of sutras, known as a Tripitaka, was commissioned by Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang, grandmother of Emperor Kangxi. It replaced an older Tripitaka from the Ming Dynasty and was made by the kingdom's leading artisans using the finest materials available.
