The Small Big: Eastern Grass Owls
These birds, also known as "monkey-faced owls," are found throughout Taiwan. After mating, the males are responsible for hunting in order to feed their mates and young. Despite their value in keeping farms clear of rodents, they are always in danger of being caught in snares or eating poison intended for others.
