Born into a financially disadvantaged family, Chiu Ta-hsin’s goal in life was to get rich. He landed a high-paying job at a bank and began living a materialistic life, and yet, he was not happy. His outlook on life completely changed when he was diagnosed with cancer. He began volunteering, from which he felt great satisfaction. Now, he runs a social club for elderly people in New Taipei City and delivers food to families in need. He knows he will continue volunteering for he has finally found meaning in his life.
