G7's New Development Fund Takes Aim at China's Belt and Road

One of the biggest announcements at this year’s G7 summit was a new US$600 billion development fund, which aims to offer a democratic alternative to Chinese investment for developing nations. Taiwan is among the countries that have expressed a willingness to join the new partnership.
