Are Chinese Electric Vehicles a U.S. National Security Risk?
At the end of 2023, Chinese Electric Vehicle maker BYD, or Build Your Dreams, surpassed U.S. giant Tesla as the world's top seller of EVs. BYD’s smaller cars sell for less than US$11,000 each — up to one-third the cost of Tesla’s cheapest electric vehicle.
