Host: Dennis Weng With few domestic energy sources, Taiwan’s ability to defend itself and keep its economy functioning during a hypothetical conflict with China would depend heavily on energy supplied from abroad. With Taiwan’s last remaining nuclear plant scheduled to be decommissioned, Taiwan remains highly dependent on fossil fuels, including liquified natural gas (LNG). What can Taipei do to make its energy sources more diverse and resilient? And what lessons does Ukraine have for Taiwan on how to protect its energy supplies during war?
