Philippines Plans Tech Hub With Support From Taiwan’s Foxconn

The Philippines is seeking a deal with Taiwanese manufacturing giant Foxconn to build a new high-tech hub in New Clark City, Tarlac province. The Philippine finance secretary, Frederick Go, says the project would become the country’s first industrial base under the US-led Pax Silica initiative.

Filipino Finance Secretary Frederick Go says Manila aims to build the first industrial base under the US-led Pax Silica Initiative. Foxconn would be the cornerstone of that project. The Philippines has earmarked New Clark City in Tarlac province as the location. Go says the planned facility will focus on AI, data centers, and electronics manufacturing, aiming to build a global tech supply chain in the region.
