The Philippines hopes to sign a deal for a new high-tech hub backed by Taiwan’s Foxconn.
Filipino Finance Secretary Frederick Go says Manila aims to build the first industrial base under the US-led Pax Silica Initiative. Foxconn would be the cornerstone of that project. The Philippines has earmarked New Clark City in Tarlac province as the location. Go says the planned facility will focus on AI, data centers, and electronics manufacturing, aiming to build a global tech supply chain in the region.
