Taiwan President Says Soldiers Should Be Ready for Modern Warfare

President Tsai Ing-wen on Friday visited a combat readiness unit and members of the country's Air Force in the southern county of Chiayi. Tsai said China’s military activities in the Taiwan Strait were harming peace and stability. She also laid out her expectations for modern national defense measures.
