Increased Yellow-Throated Marten Sightings Give Rise to Health Concerns
Officials at Taiwan's Jade Mountain National Park are concerned about an increase in reported sightings of yellow-throated martens, a protected species in Taiwan. They say that the animals are scavenging for food left behind by park visitors, which raises their risk of catching infectious diseases and transfering illnesses they're carrying to humans.
