Invasive Cane Toads Raise Ecological Concerns in Taiwan

Cane toads are one of the world’s worst invasive species, and were found in the wild in the small town of Caotun in central Taiwan last year. The Taiwan government is working to remove wild specimens while getting cane toad owners to register their pets. Our reporter Yujing Huang asks amphibian expert Yi-Ju Yang why the toads are a concern for the local ecosystem.
