One of Taiwan's Rarest Birds Stars in ‘Fly! Mountain Hawk-Eagle'
The mountain hawk-eagle is Taiwan’s largest bird of prey, and despite its size photographers have rarely captured it on camera. A new documentary entitled "Fly! Mountain Hawk-Eagle," directed by Liang Chieh-te, took 12 years to record significant moments of the hawk-eagle's life cycle from aerial courtship, nest-building to rearing its young. In this episode of Zoom In Zoom Out, Liang sits down with Sandy Chi to talk about behind-the-scenes efforts to raise awareness for wildlife conservation and one of Taiwan's most spectacular birds.
