Just a year after the European Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (ESMC, a European joint venture with Taiwan's TSMC), broke ground on their Dresden fab, the company is looking to fill 2,000 jobs. Meanwhile, the entire Silicon Saxony semiconductor ecosystem is hoping to fill 81,000 jobs. With so many connections to Taiwan, hundreds of Taiwanese families could soon be moving to Dresden. But where will they be living, and is the infrastructure and bureaucracy in place to ensure they can move to Dresden in time?
