Skating into the Spotlight
What comes to mind when you think of skateboarding? It’s often considered a sport for rebels, a way to let off steam on wheels, but with its risky kickflips and ollies, it can instill dread in parents despite it becoming part of the sporting mainstream. It even became an Olympic event in 2020. In Taiwan, skate parks are a relatively rare sight, and that lack of resources means that young talent here often don’t see a future in the sport.
