Ko Wen-je, the former Taipei City mayor and Taiwan People’s Party 2024 presidential candidate, has made headlines since his arrest on September 5th this year. As prosecutors work to build a case against him, Ko could spend a maximum of four months in custody, barred from any communication with the outside world.
