Australia’s Prime Minister has announced plans to ban children and young people from accessing social media. His government hopes to trial age verification technology to limit the mental and social harm young people face from social platforms. However, Professor Sue Nichols from the University of South Australia tells reporter Suvam Pal this might not have the desired effect.
