A Taiwanese Woman’s Mission To Raise Menstrual Awareness in Nepal

It takes around 500 to 800 years for a disposable sanitary pad to biodegrade. One Taiwanese woman, Claire Lin, decided to take it upon herself to create eco-friendly reusable sanitary products, working together with local women in Nepal. In this CONNECTED feature, we went to visit Lin in Taitung and hear about her journey battling menstrual taboos in Nepal and how she’s tackling the problem of plastic pollution.
