This is a true historical adaptation story of the struggle between two doctors and the government. In 2003, Taiwan was hit by the SARS pandemic. Due to unfamiliarity with the virus and various political struggles, the situation quickly spiraled out of control, leading to outbreaks of infections within the hospital. The society was enveloped in fear brought by the virus, and anything related to Heping Hospital was regarded as a dangerous source of infection. Taipei City was in total chaos; the sudden closure of the hospital and the haphazard measures taken without warning left the people inside the hospital on the verge of collapse due to various psychological factors. Chen Yumei and the healthcare staff trapped in Heping Hospital, in desperation, continued to care for patients and fought until the very end. Luo Shikai, the official from the Taipei City Health Bureau at the time, was caught between politics and medical ethics, skills, and resources. How could he assist everyone in the hospital to escape the virus's pursuit and return safely?
